Day 2: la Belle Province

Up earlier  (not intentionally), we were on our way at 7:50 south on a secondary highway through farm country to Hwy 417E and rush-hour traffic to Ottawa.  Unfortunately, once in the city, we missed the poorly marked lane 😠 to the bridge over the river to Gatineau and had to drive into the downtown core and make several turns to get back on course!😨 It was a little nerve racking in a 30 ft. motorhome! We did get a  look at the parliament buildings!

We took hwy 50 and made a comfort stop  in the Municipale Plaisance to see the Chutes du Moulin with an impressive 35 metres drop.

We turned north onto hwy 323 and climbed into the Laurentian Mountains with a stop at a rest area for lunch. in the community of Namur, nicknamed "la Nouvelle Belgique" ...??

We drove through Mont-Tremblant, considered "the crown jewel"of the region. I couldn't believe how much more developed it is since I was last here in 1999!

We checked in at our next campground for three nights, Camping du Domaine Lausanne in Ste.-Agathe- Nord. We  were pleasantly surprised to receive our 3rd night for free. It made the $18.95 surcharge for Shadow less painful.

We chose a pull thru site in the"montagne" section of the very large campground with a very nice lake. We had to cross  a "pont rustik" to get to our site.

It was another nice motoring day, 263 km. It reached 24º , "felt like" 26º.
