It was a refreshing 7º, felt like 4º with a brisk wind.
We took the 8:45 shuttle and caught the 9:00 a.m. ferry across to Québec City. The crossing takes 12 minutes and runs every ½ hour. We paid senior rates, $7.20 each return.
We spent the first hour in the lower city, browsed through some of the shops. I was in picture taking heaven, such a beautiful historic Vieux Québec. We then took the Unitours Hop-On Hop- Off "Red Line" tour with 16 stops. Our ticket cost $57.48 each. The bus was full. (There was a Holland America cruise ship in port.) We sat up top; it was quite .br.r.reezy! The commentary was excellent. We both learned things we never knew about Québec City.
The tour took us through the Plains of Abraham, past the garden of Jeanne d'Arc, parliament building, and more.
We left the tour at Place Royale, the historic square known as the "cradle of French civilization in America." We ate lunch at a restaurant (many to choose from) off the square. My crêpe was disappointing but Kathy enjoyed her traditional French cassolette.
After lunch we explored more of old Québec. SO many photo ops ....

We took the 3:00 ferry back to Lévis. I had time for more pictures before the shuttle picked us up at 4:00 to return to the campground. It was an exhausting but great day sightseeing .
